What happens when we meet, what to bring, and what it costs.
Your story
We start with your symptoms and your history, and what has already been done. I will examine you, and go through any scans or results you bring.
Your options
By the end you should understand what is wrong, what the options are — including not operating — and what I would suggest.
Your next steps
If an operation is right, I will explain what it involves, the recovery, and the risks. You do not have to decide on the day.
What to bring
- Scans and reports uploaded to the hospital PACS system — please contact my secretary or appointment.confirmation@circlehealthgroup.co.uk (I am unable to review scans on disc)
- All relevant information — hospital or GP correspondence
- A list of your medications
If your scans were performed at Meriden Hospital, they will already be available to me.
Fees
Private treatment is billed separately by each party involved — my fee, the hospital's, the anaesthetist's, and anything charged for scans or tests. The hospital sets its own charges and will quote them to you directly. If an operation is recommended, you will receive a written estimate before anything is arranged.
If you are insured
I work with most insurers. Contact yours to confirm your cover, and ask for an authorisation number to bring with you.
If you are paying for yourself
No referral is needed to see me privately, though do bring one if your GP has written it. Fees are as above.
You do not need to bring cash or a cheque — an invoice will be sent to you separately.
